TIPS TO GET TO SEDONA

Sedona is a top Arizona “bucket list” destination for many out-of-state visitors due to its breath-taking beauty of different rock formations, rich history, and overall connection with nature while there. When traveling from Lake Havasu/Kingman area, one would take I-40 going east toward Flagstaff and then go South on I-17/US-89A to Sedona. For visitors traveling from the Phoenix area, one would take I-17 going North and then turn off after Lake Montezuma toward Sedona. While the City of Sedona is mostly big rig RV-friendly, when considering boondocking, the areas are somewhat restrictive with size/access (rugged landscape) and amenities (must be self-contained and have water due to preservation etc.).
