La Tiny House builds tiny homes in France. They build several different designs from more traditional looking gable roofed homes, to curved roof homes like the one pictured here that they call the “tinystream” in reference to the Airstream trailers of the 1960s. But all their homes are custom built to their customers specifications.
One of the challenges in France is building a tiny house that is under 7,700 pounds. So they start with a custom trailer built by a local boat trailer builder. Their trailer design also allows for demounting the house to meet compliance requirements. The end result is a house that is easier to move, even by smaller vehicles, than in the USA.
So far they’ve built about 15 tiny houses that cost between 20,000 and 45,000 Euros ($23,000 – $51,000). They can build complete homes or partially finished homes for the do-it-yourselfer that wants to keep the budget down. Their homes can be built to connect to the power grid, or be setup with off-grid power.

A very pretty tiny house, and well organized. I like the stair design, and the ample space. The loft is open and cozy. Beautiful!
