This park is in the San Juan Mountains, about 11 miles west of South Fork. Although there are some spruce trees, this park is mostly consisting of meadows, which are lovely especially in the spring and summer when everything is blooming.

This campground has several areas that are developed for dry camping. With no electrical, water, or septic, travelers should come prepared. This campsite is for active nature enthusiasts who are seeking to “unplug” from the convenience of a normal RV park life and truly want to experience all that nature has to offer. TIPS TO GET TO PAGOSA SPRINGS

Pagosa Springs is located at 7,126 feet above sea level and is about 35 miles from the New Mexico border. The roads to Pagosa Springs are somewhat windy and with incline, which makes is challenging for novice RV travelers with longer rigs or for travel during the winder months. US-160 passes through Pagosa Springs when traveling from Durango, CO to South Fork, CO. The second access road to Pagosa Springs is US-94 W when traveling from Santa Fe, NM.
