Gypsy Coach

These tiny houses are being built by Bill Young in Colorado. They measure 8′ by 16′ and are about 13′ tall. The unique roof provides a comfortable loft for sleeping and ample ceiling height below. The interior and exterior have been finished with many Victorian elements like wainscoting, wallpaper, and wood trim. This is one very classy gypsy wagon and costs in the neighborhood of $20,000. 1. I really love the idea of a curved roof over the sleeping loft.

I get a bit claustrophobic looking at the peaked roof in a Tumbleweed house, but the curve somehow seems like more headroom.

    An optical illusion?

  2. Really neat concept, but a bit frivolous for my taste. I’d rather have it more utilitarian and practical – and cost less. How much can you save by forgoing the imported English wallpaper? 🙂

  3. I wonder if there is any isolation in this coach, i did not find any information aboute that on hes site.. and the email adress did not work.. i would like to know what is the cost for material if i buildt it for myself, and how much for the buildingplan.. does anyone know? 🙂
