Dan is building a tiny house for his mom near John’s Creek / Alpharetta, Georgia. Unfortunately his homeowners association finally figured out what he’s up to and has asked him to move the house. Unfortunately he’s not quite ready to haul it down to Florida where it will be completed.
Plan A is to finish the house up enough this week to make the trip down south. Luckily he’ll have some help from his step-father and brother, but like most tight spots it’s always nice to have a Plan B. In this case that would be a place to temporarily park the house nearby while it’s made road ready for it’s trip to Florida.

I noticed that Dan still needs a place for his house. I wish that I could help, but am not anywhere near Georgia… so I have some advice that worked well for me.
If he can spare 100.00 or so, he should be able to find a local storage yard/storage facility with RV storage options.
We actually LIVED in a storage facility’s back lot for a month during our transition. (Albeit, illegally)
But since he doesn’t need to live in it, if he can’t find anywhere else to put it, I think he SHOULD be able to convince a small-time owner to let him finish up his work on it while storing it at their facility.
I’d recommend looking for smaller storage facilities with RV storage options… especially ones that don’t seem to be getting a lot of business…
I am sure he would rather find something else, but this could be an option. And there are usually storage facilities all over, so he should be able to find one really close to where he is now, making things a lot easier.
I’d suggest listing a craigslist ad with the above offer as well as the phone book approach.
